Invest in an Aerobic Septic System

Septic systems are all designed to handle your wastewater. However, there are different systems for you to consider. One option is an aerobic treatment unit from All American Septic.

These units process the water naturally with oxygen. Because bacteria thrive with oxygen, the organisms can be used in your septic system to break down and digest the wastewater. This will happen in several stages. Typically, this includes a pretreatment step before water enters the unit and an additional disinfecting stage before it is released.

For proper performance, you need regular inspection and maintenance from All American Septic. The mechanical aerators need to be oiled, and you'll need to have the filters, vanes, and seals replaced from time to time. Most customers don't have the skills to assess and repair their systems. That's why our professional team with 20 years of experience can help.

Call us today to talk about an aerobic septic system. We offer 24/7 emergency service with a response time of one to two hours. For a free estimate within 30 miles, call (281) 205-4006 now. It can be ready the same day!

Understanding Aerobic Septic Systems

Before investing in an aerobic septic system, you need to understand how these septic systems work. At All American Septic, we work with all types of aerobic systems including all sizes and shapes. They can be made from fiberglass, concrete, or polyurethane. There are four common components of each system.

Pretreatment:

First, your waste will go through pretreatment. This reduces the amount of solids and other materials that enter the system to help with processing. Things like grease, oil, and toilet paper will be removed and placed in a separate tank or compartment since they can't be degraded.

Aerobic Treatment Unit:

The main work happens in the aeration chamber or ATU. This is where the bacteria work to decompose the sewage. Your ATU will have a pump, pipes, and diffusers. The pump compresses air that flows into the chamber. Then, the pipes carry the air from the aerator to the diffusers. The diffusers force air into the water. This creates bubbles to make oxygen. This oxygen is used to degrade the sewage.

There are two types of ATUs. Suspended growth units are very common and mix the air and the sewage with free-floating bacteria. There is no use of any medium. Attached growth units, on the other hand, use bacteria attached to a medium inside the ATU.

Settling Chamber:

In the settling chamber, gravity works to separate the clear, treated water and the bacteria and sewage. This is done before anything enters the drain field.

Drain Field:

Once treatment is done, the effluent is discharged. It goes into unsaturated soil to filter through the sand and continue more treatment. A variety of drain fields can be used. You may have a system that uses gravel, chambers, pipes, and drip lines. Each type has its own requirements, sizes, and capacities. These systems can work with gravity or pumps.
